KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION SHARING FORUM #2
Following the successful completion of QCoast2100's Inaugural Forum in late 2016, the LGAQ organised and facilitated the 2nd Knowledge and Information Sharing Forum on 18 May 2017 in Cairns. The forum featured a half day stakeholder communication and engagement workshop and presentations by selected councils on their CHAS journeys to date. All presentations can be viewed by following the links in the table below.
Participation in the forum comprised of representatives from various departments within coastal local governments such as engineering, planning, community engagement, sustainability and disaster management as well as private consultants and academia. The forum was well received and attended by 49 participants, with engaging discussions about stakeholder communication, council specific CHAS issues and lessons learnt. The forum agenda can be downloaded here.
