Minimum Standards & Guideline
The purpose of the Minimum Standards & Guideline is to assist coastal local governments impacted by existing and future coastal hazards to develop a CHAS that will identify coastal hazards, associated vulnerabilities and risks, and inform the selection of suitable adaptation options.
To access grant funding under the Program, applicants will be required to demonstrate that their project proposals satisfy the minimum standards in the MS&G or provide justification for an alternative approach. Additionally, it is the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection’s intention to adopt the MS&G as the State’s standards and guideline for the consideration of and planning for addressing future coastal hazards.
